At different reservoir sites, wide spread water, surrounding hills and hillocks, boating, greeneries and flowers create a scenic beauty forming a tranquil environment. DVC has set up guest house facilities at every dam location,,of which, notable is the Mazumdar Niwas in Maithon reservoir placed within an island. General Bhagat house in Tilaiya is located at top of the hill near the reservoir which is a vintage point to rejoice the natural beauty. Beautiful parks with wide range of greeneries and flowers at all dam sites attract a lot of tourists especially in winter.
